World Environment Day was celebrated on 5th June 2023, with a Plantation Drive at the Pandu Kamakhya Road organised by IQAC West Guwahati College of Education and Eco Club, Environment Awareness Club IQAC Pandu College in collaboration with GMC Ward no 7,Pandu Guwahati. The triangle shaped green space of the Pandu Cabin area was the main site for the plantation drive. The intention for the drive was beautification and maintainence of the Pandu Kamakhya area. The plantation drive was carried on both College campuses including the field area of Pandu Templeghat. The Councellor of Ward no 7, Principal West Guwahati College of Education, IQAC Co-ordinator of both the colleges and the students have enthusiastically participated in the Plantation drive.
